Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 12, 2026 · applies to AutoClicker v0.2.0

The short version: AutoClicker collects nothing. No analytics, no remote calls, no telemetry. Everything below is the long way of saying that.

1. What this policy covers#

This policy describes how the AutoClicker browser extension and the simpleautoclicker.com website handle information. It applies to every version of the extension distributed through the Chrome Web Store.

2. Data we collect#

None. The extension contains no analytics library, makes no network requests, and transmits no data of any kind — not usage statistics, not crash reports, not anonymized counters. There is no server to send anything to.

3. Browser permissions#

AutoClicker requests exactly three permissions, and uses each for one purpose:

  • activeTab — to interact with the tab you explicitly start the clicker on, and no other.
  • scripting — to inject the click loop and on-page status pill into that tab.
  • storage — to remember your settings (mode and interval) and which tabs are running, locally.

You can verify this list at any time in Chrome’s Manage Extensions panel.

4. Where your settings live#

Your mode and interval preferences are stored in the browser’s local extension storage on your device. Running-tab state lives in session storage and is discarded when the browser closes. Nothing is synced to any external service.

5. Website analytics#

The simpleautoclicker.com website does not run third-party analytics or advertising scripts and does not set tracking cookies.

6. Third parties#

We do not share data with third parties, because there is no data to share. The extension is distributed via the Chrome Web Store, which is operated by Google under its own privacy policy.

7. Children's privacy#

The extension collects no information from anyone, including children.

8. Changes to this policy#

If a future version of the extension ever changes what it collects — for example, an opt-in crash reporter — this policy will be updated first, the change will be listed in the extension’s changelog, and the version note at the top of this page will reflect it.

9. Your rights#

Privacy regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA grant rights over personal data — access, correction, deletion, portability. Since we hold no personal data, there is nothing to request, but you are welcome to contact us to confirm that.

10. Contact#

Questions about this policy can be sent to the support address listed on the Chrome Web Store page.
